St. Germain Office is designed as a workspace for a creative studio, an open plan that holds a lounge, a makers' atelier, meeting rooms, open desks, and exhibition areas within a single volume. Rather than walls, the studio is shaped entirely by partitions, clearly ordered, yet free to shift as the work does.
Three of them set the character of the space. Opaque resin panels form a luminous wall, a soft shell of light around the office area. Curtains draw a looser boundary, defined enough to give the studio privacy when it needs it. Movable steel boards divide more gently still, doubling as writing surfaces for the creative process. Each works at a different weight, so the plan can open, close, and reconfigure around the work at hand. The office is conceived less as a fixed plan than as a tool the studio puts to work.
